De plus, en tant que groupe international, nous devons également prendre en considération les éventuelles restrictions de déplacement, et l’impact que celles-ci pourraient avoir sur le nombre de visiteurs et la capacité de nos collègues à pouvoir se rendre à l’exposition.
En conséquence, Kinyo annule sa participation à la DRUPA 2021.

The new Albrecht-Dürer Berufskolleg in Düsseldorf was opened in the summer of 2018. The construction time of the new building complex was almost one and a half years. The room is a bright, modern and transparent design with investments made in new technology. The Berufskolleg is the largest commercial / technical institution in the capital.
Kinyo supports the graduates in printing and media technology through sponsorship and with the help of these donations, a self-portrayal in the form of a project is made. After successful conclusion the self-presentation serves the student as a preparation in the occupation of choice and gives the student the opportunity to emphasize themselves and their skills.

The training to become a print and media technologist is a full-time course which spans over 2 years and is free of charge. The training content ranges from prepress, machine programs, business studies and printing process technology to post press.
Approximately 10 students per year decide to take the steps to become a technician of printing and media technology.
« The interesting thing about the printing industry is the high technical requirements. In addition, the field is very varied and there are many different application processes. The continuous further development of technologies and a multitude of possibilities make this profession very interesting, » says Christoph Stange.
In the print and media technologist’s workshop there is a sheet-fed offset printing machine HD SM 52-2, a digital printing machine, as well as a platen. The machines are used for printing and the technology and structure of the machines are explained in detail. In addition, the « InDesign » program and the latest computer technology are used. This ensures the students are optimally trained after successful completion.
Anne Just asked one of the students Yuri Kurmaew “What kind of profession do you want to work in after the graduation and what kind of support do you have?
Yuri replied by saying « Typical occupations after graduation are Sales representatives, project managers or purchasing in the printing industry. Some graduates also become plant managers and take over a family business or work as production managers in large printing groups. The school supports us by working with many companies like Kinyo and they help with job placement. Graduates from previous years also come to the school and look for new employees. The self-portrayal helps with the job search, in order to give the companies a better impression of us. Therefore, the donations are very important for us and our school is the only one that offers something like this.
Christoph Stange is a trained printer and employed at the Münster newspaper printing plant. Juri Kurmaew is a trained printer and worked for Ardagh Group as a metal decorator.

Bishops Printers Ltd and Kinyo UK Ltd have recently worked closely together to evaluate Kinyo’s latest printing blanket called Triton – following extensive R&D work in Japan the Triton product was made available for UK trials earlier this year. Technical Sales Manager Paul Pickering held meetings with the Bishops management team of Paul Cull and Paul Hambling to arrange for press trials to commence on the newly installed Heidelberg XL75 ten colour with Impress Control. These trials were extremely successful, so Triton was further tested across the remaining 10 colour presses plus the Speedmaster SX74 presses with equal success.

As a result Triton has now been fitted to all 69 B2 units in the Bishops Printers Ltd press room – consumption over the previous blanket has been lowered over the 3 month trial period, this has been possible thanks to the construction of the Triton blanket – one of the many advantages is the thicker compressible layer which is designed to help absorb smashes.
The tough ThermaSphere® compressible layer also provides the optimum stability and rapid recovery required for high speed printing.
Uniform compressibility and very low gauge loss makes Triton the perfect product for all size formats.
The specially developed surface rubber provides an excellent balance between ink transfer and sheet release, ensuring good solid reproduction and consistent dot gain.
